For me, it all begins with my own marriage: everything I love, everything I do, and everything I hope for stems from the promises I made to my husband years ago, as a 19-year-old girl. Saying "I do" on that day gave me my boys, who inspire me to be better every day - a better wife, a better mom, and yes, even a better photographer. My marriage has taught me that my calling as a wedding photographer means so much more than just clicking the shutter. At the end of the day, I want what I do to be a strengthening factor in other people's marriages - both now, in their present circumstances of blissful engagement, but also in their future. I want a couple's engagement photos, wedding photos, and anniversary photos to be an opportunity for renewal, a rededication to each other and their choice, and a reminder of why they said "I do" in the very beginning.

The wedding experience

I'm sure your mind is racing with all that needs to be planned. It's all very exciting, but it can also be somewhat overwhelming. You're planning the day that you've been anticipating your whole life and yet by the time you get the hang of it, the planning is over! My goal as a wedding photographer is to not only make this one aspect of the planning process simple, but ENJOYABLE. Photography is more than just images; it's a real part of your day. Not only do you DESERVE beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic EXPERIENCE! When my couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that results in authentic, emotional images. Your wedding day is an experience from beginning to end, and your photography is a huge part of that experience....shouldn't it be fun? enjoyable? natural? I think so! My goal is to not only capture memories for my clients, it's to create an experience that they will never forget - and that will ultimately strengthen their relationship and bring them closer to each other.

One way I ensure that my brides and grooms enjoy the BEST photographic experience possible is through forming a relationship with my couples. I try my best to make sure that all of my couples are the PERFECT fit for me before officially booking. A bride and groom should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer, and be EXCITED about the whole process! After booking, I love getting to know my clients through an engagement session. That helps them warm up to the camera, experience my posing techniques, and learn how I interact with my couples on a shoot, so that they feel confident in front of the camera. After the engagement session is over, I keep in touch with my clients with questionnaires and emails just to check up on them. By the time the wedding day approaches, my clients feel more like friends and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for photography! My hope is always that I see them again a year later for their anniversary session!!
